Keukenhof is the world's largest flower garden. Situated not far from Amsterdam, it covers an area of 32 hectares and each year, around 7 million flower bulbs are planted. There is a variety of different garden styles with something for everybody.
Keukenhof has a rich history and for centuries the area was part of Teylingen Castle. The name Keukenhof means 'kitchen courtyard' in Dutch. The garden itself was established in 1949. And surrounding Keukenhof, Spring is the time for the flower fields.
I have put together some photos into a gif below. Sadly, I didn't have much of our photos on the computer as they were not taken with a digital camera. But I hope you love all the photos that I gathered together. Enjoy!
Note: Unfortunately, I do not know who took most of these photos but if you see one of yours, please let me know so that I can give you due credit.

I loved your photo's Sharon.
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to visit the Keukenhof but it's so expensive.
